Final Fantasy XVI, a new wind for the license on PS5
After months and months of waiting more and more impatient, Final Fantasy XVI has finally unveiled its release date for all to see. The long-awaited title, led by Naoki Yoshida, therefore used the presentation of the Game Awards to cause a stir, and this isn’t the first time it’s evoked such reactions. It’s been a while since the sixteenth installment of the franchise made our jaws drop at each of its presentations. And we have the impression that the title will continue in this dynamic until the end! At the moment we do not know when we will have the privilege of learning a little more about this work. However, if we need Final Fantasy, Square Enix may have the solution to our problems.
Starting tomorrow, in a first step, Square Enix is bringing back to life one of the classics of the license and one of the most important links in understanding the universe Final Fantasy VII. Needless to say more, everyone knows that we are referring to the release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion across a range of media. However, as we approach the saga’s big anniversary – 35 years to be exact – there may be little announcements being worked out behind the scenes. And one of them will likely bring a big smile to those who are dying to delve deeper into the history of the license!
Classics remastered on PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch?
As mentioned above, Square Enix seems to have some announcements in store around the Final Fantasy franchise. To add to the murmur, the Japanese publisher gave us news of its alternate version of the remake of the work a few days before the anniversary in question Final Fantasy VII (overall), viz the episode titled “Ever Crisis”. However, not everything revolves around this iconic episode, and that’s a good thing, because Square Enix wouldn’t have focused on this one. A while ago, the Japanese publisher released the Pixel Remaster series, updated versions of the first six numbered episodes. Well, those are the six that caught our attention today!
Earlier today, Reddit users reportedly pointed out clues leading us to believe that the versions Pixel remaster Games 1 through 6 would no longer be the exclusive domain of mobile and PC gamers. If the games are currently only available on these carriers, according to the mentions discovered in the documents of the classification organization ESRB, it could soon be history. These are now with ” Nintendo switch ” and ” PS4 which could mean that Square Enix has answered fans’ prayers and that at the same time they have ported these games to Sony’s machines as well as Nintendo’s portable! We just have to wait for the formalization of the publisher, but we are already looking forward to being able to play it, above all, everywhere thanks to Switch!
