As part of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, old parts of the long-standing JRPG series will be reissued in pixelated form. Now the next offshoot follows with Final Fantasy V.
After the first parts of Final Fantasy have already received their pixel remaster, it now continues. As Square Enix confirmed today, Final Fantasy V is next in line. A corresponding implementation now has a release date.
From November 10th, the classic will be available as a Pixel Remaster on Steam for PC as well as for mobile devices. Then you can enjoy the well-known title, which is known for its profound and flexible professional system, again.
What’s the matter? When the crystals that maintain the balance of the world are in danger, the king rushes to their rescue and suddenly disappears without a trace. You have to get to the bottom of it all. You can freely choose which professions your characters master, whereby many different play styles are supported. As for the battles, the active-time battle system is on board here, which was previously seen in Final Fantasy IV.
Square Enix is also planning the following improvements for the Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy V:
- Revised 2D pixel art, redrawn for modern hardware, including the iconic Final Fantasy character designs by Kazuko Shibuya, the artist of the originals and current contributor
- Wonderful rearranged soundtracks recorded under the direction of original composer Nobuo Uematsu
- Improved gameplay, updated UI, auto-fight option and more
- Additional game improvements, including extras like the monster primer, the gallery with illustrations, the music box and the option to save at any time
Pre-orders on Steam receive a discount of 20 percent and, as a bonus, two screen backgrounds and three specially rearranged musical tracks.
