Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, as it is officially titled, will be released exclusively for Playstation 5 in winter 2023.
At the same time, Sqare Enix has also made it official that the remake series will be completed as a trilogy. As a result, only one title will be released after Rebirth that will bring Cloud Strife’s story to a close. What fans should be happy about is that from now on the development should go a little faster. Series Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura announced that the processes have been significantly accelerated since a new development structure was introduced. Work on the third and final part would have already begun.

But back to Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth: The game is in full production and making good progress. The team is highly motivated to develop more than “just a second part”.
