Square Enix is busy working on the upcoming update to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. This is delayed a bit, but in some areas it turns the game upside down.

It's no surprise that the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 5.3 update will be delayed a bit. Thanks to Corona, you will have to wait a little longer than before the originally planned period in mid-June. Square Enix currently assumes that the new update will be released up to a month later.
However, the update also brings profound changes. So the story of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is revised and mucked out. Some sections that served more as a fountain pen than anything else are vigorously evaporated. There are more experience points and equipment to make the progress to Heavensward more smooth. The entry quest for the first mount and the alliance raids are now mandatory. Overall, the main game is supposed to be improved and the players are led to the very good expansions faster.
Aside from that, Update 5.3 now also introduces flying mounts, which you can use to travel the world of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The ability should be unlocked when the main questline is completed.
