if you think so final fantasy 16 It was supposed to be a little more dramatic, and the news that a stage adaptation is coming should be music to you.
According to GamesRadar, Square Enix announced earlier today that the music version of Final Fantasy XVI will be released in limited quantities next year. One problem for most of us is that, perhaps unsurprisingly, the musical will only be played in Japan, in two runs. The premiere performance begins in May at the Takarazuka Grand Theater and ends in June, with another performance taking place between July and August, this time at the Takarazuka Theater in Tokyo.

It is worth noting that the Takarazuka Revue is an all-female troupe, so besides all the characters singing, the atmosphere will be very different. Obviously this wouldn’t make any difference for a character like Jill, but it would certainly bring a different vibe to Clive’s low, husky tone and Sid’s lower, rougher tone.
If you’re traveling to Japan next year and planning to see the show, please note that you won’t be able to pick up your tickets until April 27, 2024, when tickets will go on sale for the first time.
This isn’t actually a Phase 1 adaptation of a Final Fantasy game–Final Fantasy 10 actually had a Kabuki adaptation earlier this year, in which all actors were played by men. The costumes from that production look pretty good, so it should be exciting to see what Takarazuka does with Final Fantasy XVI’s costumes.
As part of the stage show announcement, Square Enix also revealed that the entire Final Fantasy series has now sold more than 180 million copies, with more apparently to come as Final Fantasy VII Reborn launches next year.
