Square Enix announces upcoming DLC final fantasy 16titled high tidewill be released on April 18, following the launch of the first paid DLC, Echoes of the Fallen.
This is the final DLC chapter for the action RPG, unlocking a new story, combat, side quests, weapons, accessories, a new level cap, and more. In “Rising Tide,” an unmarked letter reaches Clive in his hideout, requesting the rescue of Leviathan’s ruler, the long-lost Icon of Water. The rescue operation takes Clive and his companions to the hidden land of Mysidia, where they will uncover the history of a forgotten people.
Rising Tide will be available after unlocking Origin as a destination on the world map and completing priceless quests in the main scenario. You can view the steps required to experience the DLC at the link above.
If you purchase the Rising Tide or Expansion Pass, you’ll receive special bonus items such as a redesigned version of the Curtana (the iconic weapon used by the Warrior of Light in Final Fantasy 14 Online) as well as the Tear the Heavens and “Time Travel” Maelstrom Orchestra Rolls, played as background music in a secret place.

A free update for Final Fantasy XVI will also be available on the same day as the DLC. renew, Version 1.30which will add quality-of-life improvements to the game, including:
- Return to the task provider immediately with the new Quick Complete feature
- Icon updates for important role tasks
- New skill sets feature allows players to save up to five unique sets of feats and abilities
- Adjust abilities and accessories for ease of use
- New custom controller type allows free customization of button layouts
- Tone correction, screen effects, and more added to Photo Mode
- Many new orchestral volumes added
New abilities in the DLC include the Lost Leviathan, allowing you to tame the tides and harness the power of the Water Icon to drown enemies near and far. However, Leviathan isn’t the only power Clive discovers on his journey, but you’ll have to find them yourself.
The level cap has been increased from 50 to 60 in the story/action-focused mode, while the level cap has been increased from 100 to 110 in Final Fantasy mode.
New locations include Kairos Gate, a virtual underworld where you’ll face waves of hellish enemies. You’ll need to use all the power and strategy you can muster to survive and get the richest loot.
Another new location is the City of Time, a bustling metropolis that was once a bastion of civilization and now lies in ruins. The constant sharpening of knives was the only sign of life, for it was here that the Donbury people asserted their sovereignty.
And there’s Mysidia, a dark, lost oasis untouched by the blight. It is under these verdant branches that man and beast find their last refuge.
You can also enjoy new side quests to help combat the many threats facing the people of Mysidia.
A price for the DLC wasn’t provided, but previously released content Echoes of the Fallen cost $9.99, so it’s likely that Rising Tide will run at the same price. You can purchase the Expansion Pass for $24.99, which combines both DLCs into one package.
