Battlefield is making a comeback while Call of Duty seems to be preparing for World War II. At least that’s what a new leak suggests, which prophesies a new map for CoD: Warzone in the Pacific War.
Where does the info come from? The information comes from the website Videogameschronicle.com. Author Andy Robinson refers to anonymous sources who are familiar with the matter. Activision itself did not comment on the issue when asked.
Caution leak: The authenticity of the following information has not been officially confirmed. So enjoy them with caution, even if the rumors come from a fairly reliable source.

New CoD with Warzone integration?
The leak is based on further information, which has also not been officially confirmed. Specifically, it is about the 2021 Call of Duty, which is supposedly called WW2 Vanguard and leads back to World War II.
We already know that: In line with Activision’s new business strategy, Vanguard will also get a Warzone integration again. And thus, as with the 2020 Black Ops: Cold War, received special content for the successful Battle Royale offshoot Warzone. A new warzone map in the Pacific would be quite conceivable.

More time, more content?
Allegedly, Call of Duty: Vanguard appears later than originally planned, which should give developer Slegdehammer Games extra time for the Warzone content. So much more content is planned for the Battle Royale than was the case with Cold War.
New map supposedly bigger than Verdansk: Most recently, Warzone only received a visual update of the original Verdansk map, which comes from the 2019 CoD: Modern Warfare. The new Vanguard map, on the other hand, should be significantly larger than Verdansk.
The fact that Vanguard is to rely on the MW19 engine could also save time in development, which in turn clears the way for more content. Most recently, the two John boys Rambo and McClane paid a visit to the successful Battle Royale:

When will there be new information about Call of Duty 2021?
It is not yet certain. The last Call of Duty called Cold War wasn’t announced until August 2020. So it could well be that we have to wait a little longer. However, the unveiling of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 at the Summer Game Fest on June 10 has been confirmed.
It is uncertain whether we will find out anything about the new Call of Duty here, but it is entirely possible. There were already rumors that the CoD 2021 reveal could be linked to Warzone Season 4. VGC as well as the established insider Tom Henderson, however, the new Call of Duty suspends the E3. The reveal is supposed to take place again in Warzone itself – as with the announcement of Black Ops Cold War.
As always, the following applies: Since these are rumors, you shouldn’t rejoice too soon.
