Finally something concrete for the Borderlands movie. Stolen footage from the shoot gives us our first look at the popular gamer character: Lilith.
The Borderlands Movie’s 5-star cast was brought in to re-film scenes. After an unconvincing first test screening last November, the adaptation of Gearbox’s craziest license needs a touch-up. Eli Roth has given Tim Miller (Deadpool) his place for two weeks to complete the feature film once and for all. The opportunity to discover the first stolen images of the shooting and reveal a glimpse of Cate Blanchett in Lilith.

Back to Pandora for Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis and the rest of the little band. The Borderlands movie is currently filming its final scenes in hopes of better engaging fans by the time it’s normally scheduled for release this year. So far, the adaptation has not come to light. A privileged few had been able to discover a trailer in advance, but the first pictures were obviously not convincing. The actors were called back to re-film several scenes over two weeks. A few images from the shoot have been leaked, giving a sneak peek at what Lilith embodies Cate Blanchett
Daily Mail actually shared photos showing the actress in a black cyberpunk outfit and with her signature mermaid red hair. This is the first time we’re seeing what a character will actually look like. Gearbox previously announced in the movie Borderlands of Silhouettes Against the Light that fidelity was at the rendezvous. After these shots, many fans expressed their disillusionment, citing the lack of resemblance between the heroine’s more colorful outfit. “It looks like a low-cost cosplay,” comments one user, for example.
As a reminder, the movie Borderlands was written by Craig Mazin, to whom we owe the current box set: The Last of Us series. We’ll follow the misadventures of the franchise’s emblematic characters, including Roland (Kevin Hart), Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), War (Florian Munteanu), Claptrap (Jack Black) and of course Lilith (Cate Blanchett) .
