Early access test: Valheim is already a survival highlight
What does update 0.142.5 bring?
More Surtling Cores: You need this important raw material to craft better items, from the cores you build a melting furnace, among other things. Previously the resource was quite difficult to find, after the update it now appears more frequently in burial chambers. You will of course still get them if you defeat Surtlings. You meet these fire creatures in the swamp.
Technical improvements: The patch also fixes annoying bugs like freezing in the Valheim start screen. In addition, the server lists and localizations were fine-tuned. You can find details in the patch notes.
What the players say: Im Steam-Forum Many are happy about the improvements so soon after the start. Valheim generally has a good reputation with its community, with over 6000 user reviews it is extremely positive. The most popular review sums it up like this:
“Imagine if Rust and Runescape had a baby (without PvP).”

Roadmap: Valheim is getting tons of new content
So far, Early Access is planned for at least one year, but depending on the feedback it could take longer until Valheim is ready. You shouldn’t expect the final release until the beginning or middle of 2022. According to the developer, around three quarters of all planned features are already in the game.
An adventurous player has already tested the limits of Valheim, quite literally: he has sailed beyond the edge of the world.
