With the arrival of more applications, Epic Games Store expanded its non-gaming business.
Epic today announced the launch of five new PC applications on the PC. Epic Games Store. Now, the digital store even provides a dedicated catalog for apps.
Customers can purchase or download Itch.io, Brave, KenShape, Krita and iHeartRadio for free-provided with Spotify, which joined the Epic Store in December.
Of course, Itch.io is an independent DRM-free game store. Brave is an open source web browser. KenShape is a 3D model generator. Krita is a digital painting application. Finally, iHeartRadio is a music streaming app-although only available in North America.
In other Epic Store news, Tim Sweeney, the founder and CEO of Epic Games, recently stated that he was fine with the store because it could build a customer base and compete with Steam, thus losing millions of dollars.
