For All Mankind Gets Season 5 and Spinoff

Mankind, Season, spinoff

For All Mankind is a famous, long-running TV series that everyone seems to really love, but it struggles to make an impact on the mainstream conversation. However, Apple seems more than happy to keep it going, even giving it a spin-off series.

The tech and media giant seems to be going all-in on sci-fi and space-related shows. From “Foundation” to “For All Mankind” and more recent entries like “Constellation,” Apple has been investing heavily in these genres, quickly making the Apple TV+ service a top choice for those who love outer space and high concepts Streaming destination science fiction.

The renewal of For All Mankind for Season 5 has been directly confirmed by Apple (via Variety), which the company has described as “a universe” rather than a single historical series. “There’s so much to explore, and our partners at Sony can’t wait to dive into the next chapter of the compelling ‘For All Mankind’ universe,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+.

Meanwhile, For All Mankind co-creators Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi had this to say about the arrival of the Soviet-themed show: “Our fascination with the Soviet space program Growing with each season…the more we learned about the secret city where Soviet cosmonauts and engineers worked and lived in the forests outside Moscow, the more we wanted to tell the story of the other side of the space race.”

Apple TV+ has also been doing well outside of space-related shows recently, with Monarch: Legacy of Monsters winning critical and fan acclaim, and following the success of Godzilla x Kong: The Second Season Renew. A New Empire opens in theaters with confirmation that more sister series are in the works.

HBO/Max was once the “best of the best,” now crumbling due to the chaotic management of Warner Bros. Discovery Channel, and it sure looks like Amazon’s Prime Video — and now again thanks to Invincible Season 2 and the Fallout series Hot. – Apple TV+ is slowly but steadily becoming the most respected and consistent streaming platform. do you agree?
