The developer studio Relic is considered a master RTS developer for good reason. some of the best real-time strategy games of all timegames like Homeworld, Company of Heroes or Age of Empires 4.
Relic has also created Dawn of War, the best strategy series in the Warhammer 40K universe to date, from the flesh of infidel enemies of the Empire. The whole thing is now almost exactly 20 years ago
Dawn of War is currently celebrating its birthday and, as a human, would probably be working on a bachelor’s degree in military science or something like that. To celebrate this 20th birthday, the developers have completely remodeled the game versions on Steam and making all extensions free.

Is it even worth it anymore?
20 and 15 years respectively are a very long time, even for strategy games. Nevertheless, both Dawn of War games are still great to play today. You don’t even have to be a big 40K fan to get the full effect from the games and their story. It’s even worth it as a springboard into this brutal universe. That’s how my colleague Dimi got a taste for it in the first place.
Above all, games like Dawn of War have become quite rare these days. They come from a time when RTS not only impressed with online multiplayer, but also with their single-player campaigns. Especially if you’ve developed a taste for Space Marine 2 and want to have even more fun pulling the teeth out of all the Empire’s enemies – then you have to give these games a chance!
