The Captain
link to YouTube content
What’s the matter? The Captain is mostly a classic point and click adventure, in the vein of old Sierra games like King’s Quest or, more appropriately, Space Quest. As a scientist in the Space Fleet, you are stranded on the other side of the galaxy and must quickly return to Earth to warn your homeland of an impending alien invasion.
The adventure part is joined by a good pinch of the space hit FTL: you have to manage your spaceship, install upgrades and take care of the needs of the crew. There are many different paths open to you on your way to Earth, you can explore space, accept side quests and try your hand at turn-based space battles.
Who is it worth it for? Anyone who likes space games, turn battles and Star Trek, likes to make difficult decisions and doesn’t mind the pixel look is welcome to take a look.
