At this point, it should come as no surprise to you that Diablo 4 will feature microtransactions. Blizzard game product director Per Kegan Clark said that Diablo 4 will be “a full-priced game with a cosmetic shop and a battle pass — none of which offer any paid feature options.” Well, it’s like Overwatch 2 in 2022, but we can all hope Diablo isn’t as messy as that weird launch was.
You only need to take a quick look at online forums and social media sites around the world to see that many players simply won’t spend the extra money on a game they’ve already paid the full $70 price for. Some of the in-game cosmetics will set you back about $28–and that’s just one piece of class armor. If you’re curious about the best classes in Diablo 4 and want to ditch your druid and start playing necromancer, say, you’ll be asked to spend another $28 in-game for another cool set equipment. Hush!
So, why not opt for a real-life varsity jacket? The jacket (a very clever move by designer Insert Coin Clothing) has removable and replaceable patches – depending on which course you’re currently majoring in. Fed up with your barbarians and go deep into the depths as a rogue? Well, no sweat, just peel off the patch and replace it. And you don’t have to shell out $28 for the fun, either.
If you want to show the world how bad your fashion sense is, that’s not the only option. In the Insert Coin Diablo 4 collection, there’s plenty to choose from (depending on how casual you want your trip to hell to be…) There are hoodies, long-sleeve tees, and the aforementioned varsity jackets, with There are interchangeable class patches – but there are also some pajamas to choose from. So if you want to get super comfortable in the demon-filled horrors of Sanctuary, remember that you can also do it in a full set of Legendary gear IRL.
