Rebel Wolves is a relatively new studio made up of former CD Projekt Red employees, including those from Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3. The studio has partnered with Bandai Namco to develop the upcoming game Dawn Treader. The game’s publisher, Bandai Namco, announced the partnership via a press release.
Chief publishing officer Tomasz Tinc said in the aforementioned press release: “Rebel Wolves is a new studio built on solid foundations: a combination of experience and fresh energy. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe is a company known for its commitment to the role-playing genre. “The company and its willingness to work with new IP are a great match for us with Wolfpack, which not only shares our values, but whose track record of publishing narrative-driven role-playing games speaks for itself,” he concluded. The studio “looks forward to working with them to bring the first chapter of the Dawn Treader saga to gamers around the world.”

Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Vice President of Business Development at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, added: “This is another important milestone in our content development strategy for Western markets. By combining our strengths, we will launch the studio’s first game we have created for Rebel Wolves Universe is very excited and thanks to their extremely talented development team, this is a great addition to our product portfolio.”
Founded in 2022, Rebel Wolves seems a long way from launching its first game. There’s no release date, release window, and no gameplay trailer to show off what the game is actually about. However, given this news, coupled with the time the studio has already put in, it’s likely we’ll see signs of a Dawn Treader revival in the near future. That’s not certain yet, but no matter how long it takes, we’re eager to see where it goes!
