The sci-fi psychological thriller Fort Solis was released on PC and PlayStation 5 in the summer, but in the future they want to go further beyond the video game medium. Accordingly, film and TV adaptations have now been announced.
Developer Fallen Leaf Studio had good news today for those who are interested in Fort Solis and may have already played the sci-fi game. The material of the psychological thriller will now also be used for a film and TV adaptation, as was confirmed in a blog entry. Accordingly, a production deal has been concluded with Studios Extraordinaires.
The partnership will explore new ways to implement Fort Solis in additional ways. Such an adaptation is already in active development. Further details about future film and TV plans will be “unveiled in the coming months.”
The narrative Fort Solis drew on performances by iconic video game actors such as Roger Clark, Troy Baker and Julia Brown; The cast of the video game itself was impressive. Accordingly, Studios Extraordinaires also praises the actors in a blog entry; It is not clear whether these will also be seen in film and TV adaptations and for that reason alone it has not yet been confirmed.
Studios Extraordinaires generally seems to have an increased interest in adapting video game plots for TV and film. In addition to Fort Solis, the studio is also planning an adaptation of the expedition universe from Infinite Mana Games. Expeditions is the code name of the development studio’s debut project, which is still largely shrouded in legend. According to reports, this title is an isometric action RPG based on the Unreal Engine for PC and Xbox.
Fort Solis, on the other hand, was released for PC and PlayStation 5 in August 2023.
