After several teasers, the new Season 2 in Fortnite: Chapter 5 is now officially here – and, as expected, it literally opens Pandora’s Box. On the island, the latest chapter called “Myths & Mortals” is all about Greek mythology, Olympic legends and superhuman powers and weapons.
A whole series of legendary locations from Greek mythology await you, where there is a lot to discover. This includes the Zeus monument in Mount Olympus, but you can also challenge Ares in the arena of the Brawler’s Battleground or follow the path of the three-headed guard dog Cerberus at the Grim Gate. And: Hades’ home, the Underworld, is also accessible.
In keeping with this, the Greek gods themselves also come to the island and develop their powers there. You can collect Zeus’ lightning all over the island or you can get it when you defeat Zeus. The Icarus wings are also at the start, with which you can float through the air, but not for too long, otherwise your wings will fall apart. Another Olympic power, for example, are the Hades chains, which will only follow later in the new season.
Far from the powers, there are also mythical weapons, including Ares’ Warforge assault rifle and Hades’ Harbinger submachine gun. These can also be found everywhere on the island, but you can only get the mythical version if you defeat Ares and Hades. There is also the Huntress DMR from Artemis, for which you have to defeat Zeus, or the Gatekeeper Shotgun from Cerberus.
Last but not least, as in every new season, there is also a new Battle Pass through which you can unlock all sorts of rewards. To do this, you have to collect experience points, not only in Fortnite Battle Royale, but also in creative mode, in LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing or Fortnite Festival. Anyone who purchases the premium version automatically unlocks Cerberus from Unterweilt. Later in the season, for example, there is also the avatar Korra. The Battle Pass can be played until May 24th at 8:00 a.m.
