In the popular battle royale title there is the next cross-over action. Two iconic characters from the Street Fighter beat ’em up series are now making the island unsafe.
As has now been confirmed on the official Fortnite website, you can also let off steam in the person of the World Warriors Blanka and Sakura. The campaign also marks Street Fighter’s 35th birthday. Accordingly, starting April 29 at 2:00 a.m., you can purchase new outfits and items in the shop.
There is the outfit “Blank” along with the alternative style “Blanka Delgado”; The latter was inspired by Boman Delgado in Rival Schools. There’s also the Blanka’s Backflip emote and the Blanka-Chan back bling to match. The Blanka package is rounded off by the “tropical spear” pickaxe.
After Ryu’s appearance, Sakura also has the honor of making an appearance. Again, there’s an alternate style inspired by Sakura’s appearance in Street Fighter IV called “tracksuits”. In addition, you can expect the “Sakura’s Victory Dance” emote, the “Hanakaze Automatic Grappler” back accessory, the “Battle Tournament Trophy” pickaxe and the “Kayari Buta” glider.
Matching the new characters, there is also a cup again, with the Blanka & Sakura Cup even awaiting you in two versions. The first version will take place on April 27th and will be a zero build duo tournament for mobile only. The second version will then start on April 28th as a Battle Royale duo tournament on all platforms. Both versions additionally unlock the “Bonus Level” loading screen for the best players in each region.
