update:
As we have been officially informed, Epic is currently not planning to introduce anything like a pass for the year. It should have acted at the Annual Pass merely a train of thought of the Fortnite developer, which, however, ultimately not implemented. According to the official statement, the data found in the game was just a prototype for the feature. Such would occasionally find their way into a build without ever being implemented.
Original message:
Fortnite seems to have bigger plans with the Battle Pass in the future. In the last update, indications were found that a "2020 Annual Pass" should be introduced next year. This should provide access to each Battle Pass and additional, exclusive content. In addition, owners of the 2020 Annual Pass get the more expensive Battle Bundle Pass.
The description states, "Purchase the 2020 Annual Pass and receive all upcoming Fortnite Battle Royals: Battle Bundles and seven exclusive cosmetic items, with Battle Bundles immediately releasing 25 percent of Battle Pass for release."
Epic Games may start selling the pass late in the month to keep customers informed in time for the start of the year and to be able to commit by December 2020. About prices and other conditions is still not known.
