The popular battle royale long-running hit has always been played from the third-person perspective, but that could change in the near future. With the start of the next season, a first-person mode should also be introduced.
Apparently, the long-running action Fortnite will also have a first-person mode in the future. At least that’s what a new leak suggests shortly before the end of the current season.
A corresponding report is now circulating from the well-known leaker and dataminer Hypex. He claims via Twitter that said first-person mode “is finally coming next season”. To substantiate his thesis, he further emphasizes that other popular leakers such as ShiinaBR, GMatrixGames and iFireMonkey are also expecting such a first-person mode in Fortnite for the upcoming next season.
Fortnite is currently in Chapter 4 Season 1, which is scheduled to end in the new week on March 8th. Just one day later, on March 9th, Season 2 will start – and then at the latest we will have certainty as to whether the current rumor about the arrival of a first-person mode in the Battle Royale hit is true or not not.
In principle, the chances of this should not be bad, because Hypex and company have hit the mark many times in the past with leaks related to the Battle Royale genre even before official announcements followed. When asked if the first-person perspective will be made available as an option or if it’s a new, standalone main feature like Zero Build, Hypex replies that it will most likely be an optional setting.
ShiinaBR and Hypex also have initial information about upcoming Fortnite collaborations. Accordingly, there should be cross-over actions with “Attack on Titan” in the form of a skin by protagonist Eren Yeager and for the second time with “Dragon Ball”. The latter cooperation is said to bring Gohan and Piccolo skins.
