Iconic hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan now appears in Fortnite Through some items based on their Wu Wear fashion collection.
Available from yesterday (April 23), several pieces based on the Wu Wear fashion collection are available in the item store. Unlike other collaborations that offer character or character skins, this is clothing that people can actually buy in the real world, if they so choose.
There are two outfits to choose from, the Throwback BG outfit with the Wu Wear Worldwide Back Bling, and the BRITE outfit with the Wu-Tang Represent Back Bling. According to an article from Epic Games, both outfits have capless styles that can be switched if you like perky heads.
Talking about the crossover, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA said: “Fortnite has been in my home for years. Watching the game evolve and become a distraction at the same time makes me happy and joyful. This collaboration is a multi-generational ‘drop’ ‘Swag and cool. If what you’re saying is true, Fortnite and Wu-Tang could be Fortangerous…”
In addition to clothing, a few other items will be available. Players can choose a Shimmy Surfer Glider that looks like the Wu-Tang Clan logo, available in yellow or Ruckus red, and the important thing is “nothing to mess with”. There’s also a Wu Wrap for your weapons and vehicles, which has a very nice black and gold palette with various Wu-Tang icons. And a new emote is also available, Wu-Tang is the forever emote, which sees the player character raise their hands in the team’s signature “W” position.
Not only will there be available outfits and gliders, just like players get the Wu Wear gear pack, they’ll also get the Neck Protector Pickaxe and Triumphant Tagger Pickaxe, along with everything. This bundle also comes with Wu Boom Box Spray and Wu-Tang Clan Banner.
