Epic Games has announced that Fortnite, the Battle royale most popular in the world, be one of the games that will be part of the launch catalog for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series Xconsoles next-gen Sony and Microsoft that will arrive in stores before the Christmas campaign of this 2020.
Epic Games has not given more details about the next-gen console version of Fortnite nor has it shown us what the game looks like on these new platforms. We also do not know if the versions for the new generation consoles will have the function crossplay although we also have no reason to think that it will not have this characteristic.
An interesting detail that we have been able to know is that Fortnite reach PS5 and Xbox Series X with the Unreal Engine 4 but that, in the middle of 2021, Epic Games plans update the game to Unreal Engine 5, their new graphics engine that they have presented today at the Summer Game Fest event organized by Geoff Keighley.
