fortnite Looks like it’s teaming up with the classic animated series again, this time “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.
Obviously, everyone’s mostly talking about Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender right now, since it was just released a few days ago, but of course, it’s also got everyone revisiting Nickelodeon’s original series. Now, according to noted Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey, Avatar is next in the list of upcoming Fortnite collaborations and will reportedly appear as a mid-season event pass. It currently appears that one of the show’s main cast members, the titular Avatar Aang, will be getting a skin that will come in both classic Fortnite-style and LEGO Fortnite-style versions.

You also have to collect six books by completing missions to unlock the Appa-style glider, although I very much wish we could be riding on top of the flying bison instead of hanging on to his bottom. Doesn’t seem very safe for anyone.

I don’t know how Fortnite will add an Aang skin, since he was a literal child in the original, and not a particularly tall one. Maybe they’ll stretch him out a bit? If they could get Peter Griffin buffed for hitboxing, I’m sure the developers could figure it out, although the idea of giving a pacifist like Aang (again, a real kid) a gun does make I hesitated. After all, Aang certainly never used violence to take a human life.
It’s unclear when Aang is expected to join Fortnite, but leaks about battle royale rarely come out ahead of actual co-op in the game. In the meantime, you can always go back and re-watch the original animated series while you wait.
