Minecraft is also reacting to the changed circumstances during the corona pandemic. Because many schools have been closed, there is a small compensation with the Education Edition free learning worlds for download. The offer is aimed primarily at students, but is of course open to all players and it is worth taking a look.
What worlds can you visit?
The ISS space station: In collaboration with NASA, Minecraft has built a model of the International Space Station. Here you can develop a new module and carry out experiments yourself.
The city of Washington D.C .: Since travel is currently very limited, you can visit Washington virtually. There are tours of the replica of the Lincoln Memorial, White House, Pentagon, and 14 landmarks. There is also a story, various orders and you can move around with 53 vehicles.
The ocean: This role-playing world is ideal if you just want to switch off a little. In various marine biomes you become a researcher and discover new animals, a submarine and collectibles. There is also a laboratory in which you can learn about marine biology. In the trailer you get an impression of it:
Mount Olympus: The Greek gods live here, of course, in whose role you can slip thanks to nine different skins. There are also powerful weapons and a complete ancient city that you can discover. The map is also suitable for multiplayer. If you end up in the underworld, greet Hades from us.
A human eye: Don't worry, this is not a horror map, but only for education. Here you learn how our sense of sight actually works by exploring a huge eye model.
In other free worlds you can deal with electricity, fractals or beekeeping, for example. You can find all downloads on the official Minecraft website.
Minecraft becomes a virtual meeting point
