“The Legend of Zelda: Echo of Wisdom” has just released a new trailer. In the trailer, we saw Zelda’s swordsman form for the first time. She turned blue, and started stabbing the bad guys. This is her war against purple.
The game’s release isn’t too far away – it’s next month on September 26th, in fact – so we’re excited to see Nintendo provide those who’ve been eager to see Zelda star in their own game with more content to go along with the previous gameplay trailer.

You can watch the new trailer below. Here’s my quick summary – The King gets eaten by the purple rift thing, Zelda is unhappy, Zelda does some platforming, Zelda turns blue and kills things in swordsman form, Zelda meets a guy who can make her little robots to fight on her behalf until they’re smashed, a compilation of Zelda doing things, and a splashy ending.
Here’s how Nintendo describes Swordsman Form, the main new feature in the game: “During her adventure, Zelda will find a mysterious sword that allows her to transform into a powerful Swordsman form for a short period of time to confront her enemies head-on!” Nintendo doesn’t mention that she will turn blue, but she will turn blue when you pick up the sword, which is basically a power-up effect that only lasts for a short time.
The sword can also be used to knock down obstacles in Zelda’s way. Oh, and you can also refill its meter by collecting energy in the static world. It’s unclear if these energy came from aliens in some 1999 Europop video.
Are you looking forward to going blue, da ba dee da ba di, in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom? Let us know below!
