The Witcher, also know as the Saga of Geralt de Rivia O the saga of the sorcerer, is a fantasy universe that achieved world fame through the literary works of Andrzej Sapkowski, the exceptional CD Projekt RED trilogy and, more recently, the brutal deployment of Netflix when it comes to producing series and films. So much, as to celebrate a WitcherCon.
CD Projekt and Netflix have teamed up to produce a digital convention that serves as celebration of the legacy of The Witcher. The one we already know and the one that is currently in production and development. Two broadcasts dedicated to the fantasy universe in which Geralt plays leather. Really suggestive quotes for those who are passionate about fantasy and RPGs.
Precisely for this reason, in iGamesNews we have gathered you everything advertised, shown and offered so far at WitcherCon. From digital gifts to trailers for new Netflix productions, many of which, as you can see, come from the dates most anticipated by fans of el brujo.
Without further ado, below you will find what is presented and shown WitcherCon 2021 related to the universe of the Witcher. Starting with a dedication by Sapkowski himself.
Andrzej Sapkowski formally welcomes Geralt fans
Maybe, Andrzej Sapkowski don’t be the biggest fan of video games. At least, los de CD Projekt RED. But the imagination of the creator of the Geralt of Rivia Saga is the central pillar on which the ever-growing universe around The Witcher.
It gives me great joy to welcome all fans of The Witcher – those who are passionate about novels, television series and video games – to the WitcherCon virtual convention.
I’m sure we will have a particularly good time and that when these difficult times are behind us, we’ll see each other in a new WitcherCon. This time, in person.
From this we can draw an interesting conclusion: that Sapkowski summons us to a future WitcherCon 2022 means that plans to expand The Witcher by Netflix, CD Projekt or both go beyond what is planned for this year. And that is already good news.

Netflix shows and dates the new season of the Witcher
From the beginning we counted on the second season of The Witcher, the Netflix series starring Henry Cavill, It would be the highlight of the event. And the wait has been worth it: officially, it is confirmed that the premiere of the new batch of episodes will take place next December 17.
Cavill himself has shared his enthusiasm for the Sapkowski universe in a relaxed talk about video games, books and filming, although he has not gotten too wet about what we can find in it. For its part, Netflix has taken the opportunity to offer a new batch of images, including a look at some of the new additions.
Freya Allan will repeat like Ciri and Paul Bullion will make his entrance in this new season as Lambert.
For its part, Joey Batey He promises to steal minutes of glory from Cavill again by playing the bard Dandelion Banyo. Will you surprise us with a new topic?
Sardine, Geralt’s mount has also appeared among the promotional images.
On the other hand, and this is really interesting, the set of Kaer Morhen, the Fortress of the Ancient Sea. A flirt used by sorcerers for their training and that, borrowing elements from games and novels, will look spectacular in the television adaptation of The Witcher.
Regarding the character of Vesemir, played by Kim Bodnia, Cavill himself admits to working a lot with the Danish actor to try to create a bond that feels real and goes beyond the screen. And speaking of Vesemir: we already know when his own animated film will be released.
Vesemir-starring anime shown in first teaser
The Witcher: The Wolf’s Nightmare, Netflix’s new anime project based on the Witcher Saga has been shown for the first time. And although we will not see the face of a rejuvenated Vesemir, but we do have an official date: its premiere on the digital platform is scheduled for next August 23.
The bad new? We continue without great news about The Witcher: Blood Origin, the live-action prequel to The Witcher also produced by Netflix. Of course, anticipating the event it was confirmed the signing of Michelle Yeoh | like Scían, descendant of a nomadic tribe of elves and a true virtuoso of the sword.
The Witcher, de Netflix al videojuego de CD Projekt RED
The last of the great novelties of the WitcherCon has caught us by surprise: in addition to the promised new generation updates that The Witcher 3 you will receive for copies of PS5 and Xbox Series X, CD Projekt RED is working on a series of ccontent inspired by the Netflix series that will arrive totally free to the game.
At the moment it has not been specified what type of content or the date on which it will be available, but some aspects inspired by Netflix personals or some thematic missions will suit the game wonderfully. And we are not the only ones to think about it.
It is worth remembering that, along with these contents, the Polish studio is working on a new game based on the saga as well as an alternative to Pokémon Go inspired by Sapkowski’s universe. Definitely, Geralt is sane for a while.
