FX production will take place several decades before the first installment of the saga

After several years of rest, the franchise Alien will return with force this year with a new installment in theaters that promises to be spectacular. However, this will not be the only project related to the Xenomorph that we will see in the coming years. Several months ago, FX announced the development of a series focused on the franchise, and we recently learned more details about this project.

According to the American media Deadlinethe series of Alien will be set three decades before the events of the first film and a few years before Prometheus, the prequel starring Sigourney Weaver. Basically, the series will explore the origin of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation on Earth.

This will be the first time in the entire franchise that the story will take place on planet Earth, focusing on the race between corporations to create android life. The objective of the program is to expand the universe of Alien

and explore the origin of the Xenomorphs, as well as Earth’s relationship with these large companies.

The series will be directed by Noah Hawley, known for his work on the series Fargo

and Legion. It will feature several well-known actors, including Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther and Timothy Olyphant. However, the premiere date has not yet been announced, so we will have to wait for official announcements from FX.
