The main difference from the S10 lies in three points. The display now offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which makes the animation look softer. The S20 also tends to provide longer battery life, and the camera has stronger zoom. These are all good improvements, but there is no reason to reject the Galaxy S10, especially since the phone also has advantages over the S20-such as the classic headphone jack. What is bad for buying?
Still, there are reasons to oppose the purchase of the Samsung Galaxy S10. So there is no 5G version of the phone available for purchase, and the basic model of the Galaxy S10 series only supports the current 4G phone standard-better known as LTE. You should consider this if you want to use your new smartphone for a long time (more than two years). Although Germany's 5G network expansion is still in its infancy, we expect the new mobile communication standard to establish itself faster than LTE. In June 2010, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S, a new model series for high-end smartphones. The rest is history. In the past few years, thanks to the success of the Galaxy S series, the Korean manufacturer has also become the world's largest mobile phone maker. But in the past few months, Samsung has faced fierce competition from China. Especially in the fall of 2018, Huawei vigorously scratched the throne of Korean smartphones with the Mate 20 Pro.

After the Galaxy S8 and S9 look basically the same, it's time to design new products for the S10. Samsung now uses a so-called Infinity-O display. Instead of the narrow black bar above the screen that houses the front-facing camera, it is in a "hole" in the upper right corner of the screen. The display actually flows around the camera.

This design is not new! Samsung has used it last year in the Galaxy A9 Pro released only in South Korea. In this case, the "hole" is in the upper left corner of the screen, and it is now moved to the right. The reason can only be speculated. We suspect that the front camera of the S9 is on the right side of the phone speaker. Therefore, users need not get used to it. Color overview
Material selection has not changed: the frame of the Galaxy S10 is still made of 7000 aluminum. The front and back are made of Gorilla Glass. Equipment, performance and operation
From a technical point of view, what must the successor of S9 provide? Infinity-O-Screen has a resolution of QHD + (3,040 x 1,440 pixels), and we were impressed with its brightness, wide viewing angle, and excellent color display. However, the resolution has been reduced to Full HD + at the factory and you must manually switch it to QHD +. However, this is not absolutely necessary, because even with Full HD resolution, we were unable to identify any single pixel in the test.
Display stand
The color display is usually AMOLED bright, but it can now be adjusted in the system settings for a more natural display. You can also determine the color temperature here, and even the ratio of individual RGB colors.
According to Samsung, the maximum brightness of the screen should reach 1200 nits. However, only when a single pixel is activated under laboratory conditions. In everyday life, the screen can light up to 800 nits. Samsung phones do not offer "super bright mode" for outdoor use like the LG G7 ThinQ, but in most cases, the screen should be easy to read, even outdoors.
Samsung also claims that the screen is the first mobile phone screen to support the new HRD10 + standard. This is not surprising, as Korean manufacturers are one of the dominant forces behind the standard. However, at launch, you can only play HD10 content you created and HDR content from Amazon and Netflix. The Galaxy S10 is not yet certified for HDR content playback on YouTube, but it should be completed as soon as possible.
Fingerprint sensor
The fingerprint sensor is finally integrated into the screen. Unsurprisingly, Samsung uses 3D ultrasonic sensors instead of optical sensors like many other manufacturers. A wise step: Tests have shown that the fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S10 works a bit faster than the fingerprint sensor on the OnePlus 6T or Mate 20 Pro display. The static sensor in the S10e still feels faster. It's also easier to set up. It's enough to put your finger lightly on the display, and you have to put more pressure on the competing products mentioned above.
However, sensors sometimes have problems with some screen protectors. Samsung confirmed this in an interview with netzwelt. Therefore, the South Korean manufacturer decided to equip the device with a pre-installed screen protector, which works properly without any problems with the sensor. Face recognition
By the way, the S10 does not offer 3D facial recognition like the Mate 20 Pro or new iPhone models. It only has the 2D face recognition function used by the front camera. However, this is not a real protection, and Samsung has pointed out during the setup process that face scans can be compared to photos. Therefore, it is recommended to use a password or fingerprint to additionally protect sensitive content or forgo facial recognition.
Performance and equipment
The Galaxy S10's processor is the new Exynos 9820 eight-core chip, and according to the manufacturer, Samsung fans can expect improved performance compared to previous generations. Samsung promises to increase single-core performance by 20%, and it is said that multi-core performance is improved by 15%. With the new graphics processing unit, demanding gaming performance should increase by 40%. These values refer to the manufacturer's own measurements compared to the Exynos 9810 chip.
Samsung did not say how the performance of the Exynos 9820 compared to its competitors. Our benchmark comparison provides the answer. Therefore, the performance of Samsung processors is significantly better than the Kirin 980 in the Mate 20 Pro. The good news is that the performance of the Exynos 9820 will not decrease quickly under load. Although the Mate 20 Pro quickly reduced the computing power to 60% after a longer load, the S10 still has up to 84% of the available computing power.
How does Samsung achieve the performance improvement of Exynos 9810? The improvement in performance should be partly due to changes in manufacturing processes. If Exynos 9810 is still produced in the 10-nanometer process, the current successor will be produced in the 8-nanometer process. By reducing the size of the structure, simply, the data stream must cover a short distance on the chip. However, Exynos 9820 is bigger than its competitors. Apple and Huawei already use 7-nanometer processes on their current chipsets.
Therefore, the improvement in performance should be largely attributed to the computing core developed by Samsung itself. Samsung installed a fourth-generation so-called custom CPU in Exynos. For example, the previously installed third generation is clearly superior to the ARM Cortex core used by Huawei.
As with previous chips, Samsung does not just rely on its own computing core, but on the extended big.Little principle. The Exynos 9820 has three clusters consisting of two or four cores. When full performance is required, the Exynos 9820 uses only two built-in custom CPU cores provided by Samsung. For less computationally intensive tasks, two Cortex-A75 or four Cortex-A55 computing cores from British chipmaker ARM can be used.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S10 can also analyze your user behavior and automatically load your frequently used applications into working memory after a period of time to speed up startup. A new LTE modem is also installed on the chip, enabling download speeds of up to gigabits per second. According to Samsung, this would theoretically be able to download 3.7 GB of film in 15 seconds. To date, Germany lacks a corresponding mobile phone network.
By the way, the Galaxy S10 offers different chipsets in the US. Here, Samsung relies on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855. In the past, Galaxy S models equipped with Snapdragon processors usually provided minor advantages in terms of performance and battery life. Whether this will happen in 2019 remains to be seen.
Memory
Samsung provided 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 512 GB of device memory for the S10 in Germany. You can use a memory card to expand as usual. Unlike Huawei, Samsung does not rely on its own format, but insists on using microSD cards.
We tested the 128 GB variant. At the factory, you will have nearly 109 GB of free storage space, and the rest will be occupied by the system. With the right settings, you can squeeze more memory out of your phone when setting up the Galaxy S10.
Other equipment
Other features of the Galaxy S10 are also at the highest level. In addition to the camera, there is a heart rate monitor and a headphone jack is also installed. You can also use headphones with a jack plug with the Galaxy S10 without an adapter. The S10 does not provide FM radio in Germany.
Software
Android 9.0 Pie is used as the operating system of the Galaxy S10. Samsung has covered Google's operating system with its new user interface, One UI. This Korean manufacturer introduced this feature in November 2018 and has updated it to Note 9, S9 and Note 8.
A user interface already includes a system-wide night mode that makes smartphone use more enjoyable at night. Google will only integrate it natively into systems with Android 10. Voice quality and battery life
The Galaxy S10 has microphones on the top and bottom. Despite the second microphone, the phone failed to completely filter out noise during the test. Our conversation partners still consider the car to be slightly noisy. The sound was always a little glum in both directions. By the way, Samsung only sells the dual SIM version of the S10 in Germany. You can insert an additional nano SIM card in the slot instead of a memory card. Both slots are equivalent and can go online at 4G speed.
The biggest criticism of the Galaxy S9 is battery life. In long working days, the authors of this article often have to go to a socket or carry a mobile power supply so that the S9 will not go out. Using S10 should be better. The phone now has a 3,400 mAh battery.

In the PCMark battery test, the phone ran for nearly 11 hours. Depending on the intensity of use, it can be recharged with a battery for a whole day and a half. This is a slight improvement over the S9, but not a big improvement.

Mature top smartphone without top effects
Aside from the new, more frameless design, the Galaxy S10 doesn't offer any revolutionary innovations. Samsung has gone to great lengths to eliminate the weaknesses of the Galaxy S9 and to close the technology gap of competitors. This has been largely successful-for example, using a fingerprint sensor, user interface, or triple camera, only battery life will be longer. Galaxy S10 und HDR10: Handys erhalten Netflix-Zertifizierung
04.03.2019 Das Galaxy S10 und die Schwestermodelle S10 + sowie das Galaxy S10e besitzen ein HDR10-fähiges Display, dennoch sind die Geräte nicht in der Lage, HDR-Inhalte aus einer beliebigen Quelle wiederzugeben. Lediglich HDR10-Intürter starter Samsung auf dem Unpacked Event Ende Februar.

Genauer gesagt dreht sich alles um die nächste Generation des Top-Modells, das Galaxy S10 und um das erste Falt-Handy des Herstellers. Dieses wird Gerüchn zuf olge den Name . Auch eine neue Smartwatch namens Galaxy Watch Active soll es in London zu sehen geben.

Galaxy S10 (Plus): Hands-on Video zeigt Samsung-Handys in Aktion
18.02.2019 Das dürfte Samsung nicht gefallen. Noch vor der offiziellen Präsentation des neuen Top-Modells Galaxy S10 ist ein Videoclip ins Netz gelangt, der das neue Smartphone sowie das Schwestermodell Galaxy S10 + in Aktion zeigt und über die Unterstendien zedid zwi angeblich vom Online-Magazin Techradar stammen.
Dem Video zufolge bietet das Galaxy S10 ein 6,1-Zoll-Display, der Screen des S10 + misst dagegen 6,4 Zoll in der Diagonalen. Das Plus-Modell bietet zudem zwei Frontkameras. Der Clip bestätigt auch, dass beide Geräte mit einen in den Bildschirm integrierten Fingerabdrucksensor ausgestattet sind, eine Triple-Kamera mit Ultraweitwinkel-Objektiv bieten und in der Lage sind, andere Geräte drahtlos aufzuladen. Danach bricht der Clip ab.
Geteilt wurde das Video vom Twitter-Nutzer Light Yagami. Die Echtheit des Clips lässt sich nicht verifizieren. Vieles spricht aber dafür, dass das Video bei einer Vorabpräsentation des Handys entstanden und dann in die falschen Hände gelangt ist. So ist beispielsweise im Hintergrund des Videos ein Schriftzug "Samsung Galaxy S10" an der Wand zu sehen. Mittlerweile wurde das Video zudem wegen Verletzung von Urheberrechten aus Twitter entfernt.

13.02.2019 Am 20. Februar wird Samsung in San Francisco das Galaxy S10 enthüllen. Der S9-Nachfolger soll dabei über ein nahezu randloses Display verfügen, in den Bildschirm ist Gerüchten zufolge ein Ultraschall-Fingerabdrucksensor integriert. Auf dieses Feature warten Samsung-Fans bereits seit Jahren, doch ein Video des britischen Online-Händlers MobileFun deutet nun an, dass dieser Probleme mit Displayschutzfolien hat.
Im Video ist das Galaxy S10 mit einer Displayschutzfolie zu sehen. Diese weist eine Aussparung für die Frontkamera in der rechten oberen Ecke auf, zu sehen ist aber noch eine zweite kreisrunde Aussparung, die sich mittig im unteren Drittel des Displays befindet. Sie ist offenbar für den Fingerabdrucksensor vorgesehen. Allerdings wird die Aussparung erst sichtbar, als der Bildschirm des mutmaßlichen Galaxy S10+ im Video ausgeschaltet wird.
Bereits Mitte Januar hat der Zubehörhersteller Armadilotek via Twitter mitgeteilt, dass der Sensor nicht mit Displayschutzfolien funktioniert, jedoch keinen Beleg für diese Aussage angeführt. Nun wirkt der Tweet deutlich glaubwürdiger. Das für gewöhnlich gut informierte Fanblog SamMobile hält es auch für möglich, dass es nur Probleme bei der Verwendung von wärmebehandelten Displayschutzfolien, sogenanntes Sicherheitsglas oder auch Tempered Glass genannt, gibt. Solche Schutzfolien sind mitunter bereits bis zu 500 Mikrometer dick.
Tatsächlich gibt Zulieferer Qualcomm, der angeblich die Fingerabdrucksensoren für das S10 bereitstellt, auf seiner Homepage an, dass Glas die Reichweite des Sensors deutlich einschränkt. Wer auf Nummer sicher gehen will, sollte beim Kauf des Galaxy S10 auf das offizielle Zubehör von Samsung zurückgreifen.
Galaxy S10, S10e und S10+: Datenblatt verrät Aufbau der Triple-Kamera
12.02.2019 Dass Samsungs Galaxy S10 und S10+ mit einer Triple-Kamera auf der Rückseite ausgestattet sein werden, ist seit Wochen bekannt. Unklar war jedoch, welche Auflösung und Funktion die einzelnen Sensoren besitzen. Nun hat ein Händler dem englischsprachigen Online-Magazin GSMArena ein Datenblatt der kommenden Samsung-Handys zugespielt, das die fehlenden Details enthält. Die Echtheit des Dokumentes lässt sich zwar nicht verifizieren, die Angaben klingen aber durchaus glaubwürdig.
Demnach setzt Samsung bei beiden Handys auf eine Hauptkamera mit 12 Megapixeln und einer Offenblende von f/1.5. Zusätzlich ist ein Tele-Sensor verbaut, der ebenfalls mit 12 Megapixeln auflöst. Ergänzt werden die beiden Kameras von einem 16 Megapixel Superweitwinkel-Sensor, der ein Sichtfeld von 123 Grad aufweist. Die Primär- und Tele-Kamera sollen über eine optische Bildstabilisierung (OIS) verfügen.
Das Galaxy S10e erscheint dagegen wie erwartet nur mit einer Dual-Kamera. Diese besteht aus einer 12-Megapixel-Hauptkamera und einem 16-Megapixel-Superweitwinkel-Sensor. Alle drei Handys werden eine 10-Megapixel-Frontkamera bieten, die Videos in 4K aufnehmen kann. Beim S10+ ist zusätzlich noch eine zweite 8-Megapixel-Frontkamera verbaut. Hierbei handelt es sich nicht um eine Weitwinkel-Optik, sondern um einen normalen Zweitsensor für Bokeh-Effekte.
Die Kameras der Galaxy S10-Reihe beherrschen darüber hinaus noch weitere Tricks. So sollen sie in der Lage sein, doppelt so lange Super-Zeitlupen zu erstellen, als dies mit dem Galaxy S9 möglich ist. Zudem hat Samsung die Szenenerkennung erweitert. Die S10-Modelle sollen 30 statt wie bislang 20 verschiedene Motive automatisch erkennen und die dazu passenden Einstellungen wählen können.
Besitzer eines Galaxy S9 dürfen jedoch hoffen, dass zumindest die verbessere Szenenerkennung früher oder später mit einem Update nachgeliefert wird. Das Galaxy S10 wird übrigens nicht das erste Samsung-Smartphone mit Triple-Kamera sein, bereits 2018 hat der südkoreanische Hersteller mit dem Galaxy A7 (2018) ein entsprechendes Modell veröffentlicht. Hier besteht die Triple-Kamera aber aus einer Hauptkamera, Superweitwinkel-Kamera und einer Sekundärlinse für digitale Tiefenunschärfe.
Galaxy S10: Smartphone lädt Samsungs AirPod-Alternative drahtlos auf
08.02.2019 Der Nachfolger des Galaxy S9 hat sich erneut auf einem vorab erschienenen Pressebild gezeigt. Beworben wird auf dem Bild von WinFuture die Powershare-Funktion. Dabei handelt es sich um umgekehrtes Wireless Charging. Besonders ist allerdings das Gerät, was von dem Galaxy S10 geladen wird: bisher unbekannte In-Ear-Kopfhörer. Die kabellosen Bluetooth-Kopfhörer lassen sich also über den Qi-Standard laden. Zum Vergleich: Apples AirPods können dies nicht.
Höchstwahrscheinlich erscheinen die Kopfhörer mit dem Namen Galaxy Buds zeitgleich mit den neuen Flaggschiff-Smartphones. Kosten sollen sie nach Angaben von WinFuture 149 Euro. Damit lägen sie preislich etwas unter den AirPods und etwa auf einem Niveau mit der restlichen Konkurrenz in der Premium-Klasse der kabellosen In-Ears.
Mit Powershare lassen sich natürlich nicht nur die Galaxy Buds kabellos vom S10 aufladen. Auch andere Qi-kompatible Geräte wie Smartphones oder Smartwatches kann das S10 mit einer Leistung von neun Watt versorgen.

Galaxy S10: Zulassungsbehörde bestätigt Namen der Modelle
07.02.2019 Der Launch der Galaxy S10-Reihe ist nur noch zwei Wochen entfernt, aber alles ist zu den neuen Smartphones noch nicht vorab bekannt. Die thailändische Behörde für Rundfunk und Telekommunikation (NBTC) hat nun drei S10-Modelle zertifiziert.
Neben dem regulären Galaxy S10 mit der Modellnummer SM-G973F wird es noch ein größeres und ein kleineres Gerät geben. Das größere lautet S10+ und besitzt die Modellbezeichnung SM-G975F. Das kleinere und wohl preisgünstigste Handy der Reihe trägt den Namen S10e und die Bezeichnung SM-G970F.
Letzteres wird wahrscheinlich zwar den gleichen Prozessor wie die anderen beiden Modelle besitzen, aber bei der restlichen Ausstattung etwas abgespeckt sein. Alle weiteren Infos könnt ihr auf unserer Übersichtsseite zum Galaxy S10 erfahren.
Ob sich die Spekulationen zu den Features der Geräte bewahrheiten, bleibt bis zum Unpacked Event am 20. Februar abzuwarten. An der Glaubwürdigkeit der Namen aus den Dokumenten der NBTC besteht unserer Einschätzung nach kein Zweifel. Andere Leaks, die kürzlich erschienen sind, bekräftigen ebenfalls die Namensgebung.
Galaxy S10 Lite: Neue Bilder zum iPhone XR-Konkurrenten aufgetaucht
06.02.2019 Am 20. Februar stellt Samsung auf dem Unpacked Event seine neuen Oberklasse-Smartphones vor. Neben dem regulären Galaxy S10 wird es wahrscheinlich auch ein Plus- und ein Lite-Modell geben. Letzteres wird nach aktuellem Kenntnisstand Galaxy S10e heißen. Auf der Webseite Slashleaks sind zum leicht abgespeckten S10 neue Bilder erschienen. Die Bilder zum S10e und den anderen Modellen könnt ihr euch nachfolgend in der Galerie ansehen.
Auf den aufgetauchten Fotos ist erkennbar, dass Samsung beim Lite-Modell im Gegensatz zum S10 und S10+ auf ein flaches Display setzt. Am Rand ist das Glas aber minimal abgerundet. Ein rund fünf Millimeter großes Loch im Display beherbergt die einzelne Frontkamera.
Die spekulierte Bildschirmdiagonale von 5,8 Zoll scheint ebenfalls bestätigt, da das S10e auf einem Bild neben einem Asus ZenFone 5Z liegt und ein gutes Stück kleiner wirkt. Das Asus-Handy besitzt ein 6,2 Zoll-Display.
Bisher ist lediglich die Front des S10e auf den Slashleaks-Fotos zu sehen. Die Kollegen von WinFuture haben allerdings exklusive Renderbilder des Samsung-Handys erhalten, die das Gerät von allen Seiten zeigen.

Galaxy S10: evleaks-Bild zeigt uns die Triple-Kamera
05.02.2019 Die drei Kamerasensoren sind dabei horizontal nebeneinander angeordnet und nicht vertikal untereinander wie beim Galaxy A7 (2018), Samsungs ersten Smartphone mit Triple-Kamera. Neben den Kameras befindet sich eine Blitz-LED sowie ein optischer Pulsmesser. Leider liefert die Aufnahme aber keine Informationen zur Auflösung der Kamera oder der verwendeten Offenblende. Diese ist noch immer ein Geheimnis.
Dafür ist aber erkennbar, dass Samsung wie bereits beim Galaxy S9 auf eine leicht gewölbte Rückseite setzt. Der Rahmen des Handys besteht dem Bild zufolge weiterhin aus Metall und wird an einigen Stellen von Antennenstreifen unterbrochen. Bei dem gezeigten Modell handelt es sich wohl um die weiße Farbvariante. Das Galaxy S10 selbst soll aber auch noch in Blau, Grün und Schwarz erhältlich sein, meldet WinFuture. Evan Blass ist nicht der einzige Leaker, der bereits Bilder vom Galaxy S10 ins Netz gestellt hat. Weitere Aufnahmen, die angeblich das neue Samsung-Smartphone zeigen, findet ihr in der Galerie.
Offiziell vorstellen wird Samsung das Galaxy S10 am 20. Februar in San Francisco. Dann wird der südkoreanische Hersteller sich auch zu Preis und Marktstart des Galaxy S9-Nachfolgers äußern. Gerüchten zufolge soll das neue Samsung-Smartphone ab dem 8. März im Handel erhältlich sein. Als Einstiegspreis werden 749 Euro gehandelt.

04.02.2019 Am 20. Februar stellt Samsung die Galaxy S10-Reihe in San Francisco vor. Neben randloseren Displays werden die Galaxy-Modelle viele weitere besonderen Features bieten. Darunter auch eine Funktion namens "Powershare", die dafür sorgt, dass sich andere Geräte mit dem S10 kabellos laden lassen.
Dies kennt ihr vielleicht bereits vom Mate 20 Pro. Das Huawei-Flaggschiff konnte andere Qi-kompatible Geräte mittels Reverse Wireless Charging kabellos aufladen. Der Akku des Mate 20 Pro konnte zwar mit bis zu 15 Watt kabellos aufgeladen werden, jedoch konnte das Handy andere Geräte nur mit circa 2,5 Watt aufladen.
Damit ist die Ladezeit rund doppelt so hoch, wie mit einem Standard-USB-Netzteil von Apple. Obendrein ist Wireless Charging auch noch weniger effizient im Vergleich zur kabelgebundenen Variante. Beim Huawei-Smartphone war diese Funktion also eher ein Gimmick.
Samsung macht es offenbar besser. Laut von der US-Regulierungsbehörde FCC veröffentlichten Dokumenten wird das Handy in der Lage sein andere Geräte mit bis zu 9 Watt drahtlos zu laden. Das dürfte den Ladeprozess im Vergleich zum Mate 20 Pro deutlich beschleunigen.
Es stellt sich aber die Frage, ob die Nutzung dieser Funktion überhaupt sinnvoll wäre. Bisher wissen wir nämlich nichts Konkretes zu den Akku-Kapazitäten der S10-Modelle. Wenn diese nicht mindestens so groß, wie der 4.000-Milliamperestunden-Akku des Mate 20 Pro sind, ließen sich die meisten anderen Smartphones sicherlich nicht komplett aufladen.
Das Reverse Wireless Charging wird generell aber wohl eher nur zum Aufladen kleinerer Geräte gedacht sein. Für eine Smartwatch, beispielsweise die Galaxy Watch, oder Qi-kompatible Kopfhörer dürfte diese Lademöglichkeit durchaus sinnvoll sein, wenn denen unterwegs mal der Saft ausgeht.
Galaxy S10: Pressebilder geleakt
01.02.2019 Der Launch des Galaxy S10 rückt näher. Knapp drei Wochen vor der Präsentation des Samsung-Handys in San Francisco sind nun mutmaßliche Pressebilder des Smartphones ins Netz gelangt. Das deutsche Online-Magazin WinFuture sowie die indische Webseite 91mobiles haben die Aufnahmen unabhängig voneinander veröffentlicht. Beide Magazine gelten als vertrauenswürdige Quellen, die in der Vergangenheit häufig korrekte Vorabinformationen geliefert haben.

Weitere Bilder, die vom Galaxy S10 im Netz kursieren, haben wir euch in der Galerie zusammengefasst. Die mutmaßlichen Pressebilder bestätigen erneut, dass Samsung ein umfassendes Redesign bei seinem Oberklasse-Handy vornimmt.
So setzt der südkoreanische Hersteller offenbar auf ein Infinity-O-Display. Diesen Bildschirmtyp hat Samsung bereits auf seiner Entwicklerkonferenz Anfang November in San Francisco vorgestellt. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Weiterentwicklung des beim Galaxy S8 und S9 verwendeten Infinity-Displays.
Der obere Rand ist fast gänzlich verschwunden, die Frontkamera befindet sich stattdessen in einem "Loch" in der rechten oberen Ecke des Bildschirms. Ein Fingerabdrucksensor ist weder auf der Front- noch auf der Rückseite erkennbar. Gerüchten zufolge wurde er in den Bildschirm integriert. Beide Smartphones werden zudem mit einer Triple-Kamera auf der Rückseite ausgestattet sein, zuvor hatte es Gerüchte gegeben, dass Samsung das S10+ mit einer Quad-Kamera ähnlich der des Galaxy A9 (2018) ausliefert.
Darüber hinaus bestätigen die Aufnahmen den Release-Termin des Samsung-Handys. Ab dem 8. März werdet ihr das Galaxy S10 in Deutschland kaufen können. Dabei habt ihr laut WinFuture-Redakteur Roland Quandt die Wahl zwischen folgenden Farboptionen "Schwarz", "Blau", "Grün", "Weiß" und "Gelb". Allerdings werden nicht alle Modellvarianten des Galaxy S10 in jeder Farbe angeboten werden.

Galaxy S10: Weiterhin Unklarheit über Akkukapazität
31.01.2019 Die Akkulaufzeit war ein großer Kritikpunkt beim Galaxy S9 und S9 Plus. Vor allem beim kleineren Modell ging die Batterie rasch zuneige. Fotos im Netz deuteten an, dass Samsung beim Galaxy S10 reagieren und zumindest einige Modelle der Serie mit einer größeren Akkukapazität ausstatten wird.
Das Lite-Modell soll Gerüchten zufolge einen 3.100-Milliamperestunden-Akku (mAh), das S10 und das S10 Plus eine Batterie mit einer Kapazität von 3.500 beziehungsweise 4.100 mAh bieten, dies meldet unter anderem der Twitter-Nutzer IceUniverse, der zuletzt häufiger mit korrekten Vorabinformationen zu unveröffentlichten Samsung-Geräten aufgefallen ist. Zum Vergleich: Das reguläre S9 bietet einen 3.000-Milliamperestunden-Akku, das S9+ einen 3.500-Milliamperestunden-Akku.
Doch dann folgte der Schock für Samsung-Fans! Auf der Enthüllungsplattform "/Leaks" war am 24. Januar ein Dokument der brasilianischen Telekommunikationsbehörde Anatel aufgetaucht. Dabei soll es sich um Zertifikate für die noch unveröffentlichten Samsung-Handys "SM-G970", "SM-G973" und "SM-G975" handeln. Diese Modellnummern werden der Galaxy S10-Serie zugeschrieben. Das Dokument gab bei allen drei Modellen eine Akkukapazität von 3.000 Milliamperestunden an.
Offenbar ein Fehler! Denn nun kursiert im Netz eine aktualisierte Version des Dokuments, meldet die Webseite Nashvillechatterclass. Dieses listet nun einen 3.000-mAh-Akku für das S10 lite, einen 3.300-Milliamperestunden-Akku für das reguläre Modell und einen 4.000-Milliamperestunden-Akku für das Galaxy S10+. Die Echtheit des Dokumentes lässt sich nicht überprüfen. Anatel hatte bereits aber vor Release des Galaxy S9 die korrekte Akkukapazität verraten und kann generell als glaubwürdige Quelle eingestuft werden.
Es steht also Aussage gegen Aussage. Fans müssen also wohl bis zur offiziellen Präsentation warten, ehe sie die Wahrheit erfahren. Denkbar ist auch, dass Samsung verschiedene Prototypen des Galaxy S10 mit unterschiedlicher Akkukapazität testet. Nicht nur über die Akkukapazität herrschte Unklarheit, auch zum Galaxy S10 Lite gibt es stets unterschiedliche Gerüchte. Mal soll das Gerät einen Fingerabdrucksensor im Display aufweisen, mal ist dieser angeblich in den Rahmen integriert.

Galaxy S10: S9-Nachfolger wird zum Blockchain-Smartphone
30.01.2019 Kryptowährungen wie der Bitcoin erfuhren vor einiger Zeit einem regelrechten Hype, dies ist auch Samsung nicht verborgen geblieben. Wie die südkoreanische Tageszeitung Korea Herald in ihrer Online-Ausgabe berichtet, wird der Handyhersteller dem Trend in seinem kommenden Top-Modell Galaxy S10 Rechnung tragen. So soll der S9-Nachfolger als mobile Wallet für Kryptowährungen fungieren können.
Diese Information ist nicht neu. Bereits vor einigen Tagen hatte Max Weinbach vom Portal XDA Developers Bilder eines mutmaßlichen Prototyp des Galaxy S10 veröffentlicht, die die entsprechende Option in den Einstellungen des Handys zeigten. Der Bericht des Korea Herald liefert darüber hinaus aber nun weitere Details. So soll die Wallet-Funktion Teil des hauseigenen Bezahldienstes Samsung Pay werden. Entsprechende Patente habe Samsung bereits in Südkorea eingereicht.
Unklar bleibt, welche Kryptowährungen Samsung unterstützen wird. Auf den Fotos von Max Weinbach war nur der Support für Ethereum zu sehen. Ob auch deutsche Nutzer in den Genuss kommen werden das Galaxy S10 als Blockchain-Smartphone zu nutzen, bleibt ebenfalls abzuwarten. Hierzulande ist Samsung Pay bislang nicht verfügbar. Möglicherweise bleibt Nutzern in Deutschland daher das Feature verwehrt.

Galaxy S10 X: Details zum 5G-Jubiläumsmodell kursieren im Netz
14.01.2019 Lange Zeit war im Netz nur von drei Galaxy S10-Modellen die Rede, doch wenige Wochen vor dem Launch des S9-Nachfolgers mehren sich die Hinweise darauf, dass Samsung noch an einem weiteren Modell arbeitet. Die südkoreanische Webseite ETNews hat nun Details zu diesem in Erfahrung gebracht. So soll das vierte S10-Modell auf den Namen Galaxy S10 X hören und ein 6,7-Zoll-Super AMOLED-Display bieten.
Eine Dual-Front-Kamera, vier Kameras auf der Rückseite, 10 Gigabyte Arbeitsspeicher, und 1 Terabyte Gerätespeicher, ein 5.000-Milliamperestunden-Akku sowie Unterstützung für den neuen Mobilfunkstandard 5G runden das imposante Datenblatt ab. Eine künstliche Intelligenz soll euer Nutzungsverhalten analysieren und die Performance des Smartphones passend steuern, berichtet ETNews weiter.
Dieses Feature wird von der südkoreanischen Webseite als "Geheimwaffe" bezeichnet. Allerdings bieten bereits zahlreiche Handyhersteller ähnliche Funktionen in ihren Geräten. Android 9.0 Pie versucht etwa die Akku-Nutzung durch eine künstliche Intelligenz zu optimieren. Wie sich Samsung hier gegenüber anderen Anbietern absetzen will, bleibt abzuwarten.
Ebenso bleibt unklar, ob das Galaxy S10 X weltweit in den Handel kommen oder zunächst nur in Korea angeboten wird. Schließlich ist hierzulande mit dem Start von 5G nicht vor 2020 zu rechnen. In Südkorea soll das Handy Ende März im Handel erhältlich sein. Galaxy S10 (Plus): Neue Details zur Flaggschiff-Kamera aufgetaucht
18.12.2018 Wenige Monate vor der Veröffentlichung der Galaxy S10-Reihe haben wir bereits durch diverse Leaks, also inoffizielle Vorabinformationen, einen runden Eindruck, was die Samsung-Flaggschiffe an Neuerungen und Highlights bieten könnten. Eine anonyme Quelle hat der Webseite Phone Arena nun neue Infos zukommen lassen. Unter anderem gibt es Neuigkeiten zu den Kameras.
So sollen das Galaxy S10 und das S10+ ein nahezu randloses Infinity-O-Display besitzen. Dies bedeutet, dass in der oberen rechten Ecke des AMOLED-Panels ein kleines Loch für die Frontkamera vorhanden ist. Im größeren Plus-Modell falle dieses Loch allerdings etwas breiter aus, da dort nicht nur eine, sondern zwei Kameras verbaut seien. Der Größenunterschied der Bildschirmdiagonale sei aber zwischen beiden Smartphones eher gering mit 6,1 und 6,4 Zoll.
Auf der Rückseite befänden sich laut Quelle jeweils drei Kameras. Beim S10 und S10+ sei dieses Hauptkamera-Setup Quelle identisch. Zuvor gab es eine Vielzahl anderer Aussagen zur Anzahl der Kameras, jedoch besagte die Mehrheit, dass das S10 eine Dual-Front- und eine Dual-Hauptkamera und das Plus-Modell eine Dual-Front- und eine Triple-Hauptkamera besäße. Eine Quad-Kamera werde es dagegen wohl nur im späteren 5G-Modell geben. Der Übersicht halber haben wir bereits einen ersten Vergleich aller S10-Modelle erstellt.
Somit würde vorerst nur das Galaxy A9 aus dem Samsung-Lineup vier Hauptkameras besitzen, wenn die Angaben zum S10 und S10+ korrekt sind. Des Weiteren behauptet der Tippgeber von Phone Arena, dass alle S10-Smartphones den Kopfhöreranschluss beibehalten würden.
Von wegen "5G-Demo-Gerät": Samsung Galaxy S10 mit Seiten-Notch gesichtet
05.12.2018 In Maui, Hawaii findet derzeit der Snapdragon Summit von Qualcomm statt. Am Ende des ersten Veranstaltungstages gab es eine dicke Überraschung: ein Samsung-Sprecher betrat die Bühne und kündigte großartige Neuigkeiten im Zuge der 5G-Revolution an. Doch das für uns mindestens genauso Bahnbrechende spielte sich in einem Nebenraum der Hausmesse ab: netzwelt entdeckte ein 5G-Demo-Gerät mit Samsung-Logo, das verdächtig nach einem mehr oder weniger getarnten Galaxy S10 aussah.
Uns war es aus "Sicherheitsgründen" nicht erlaubt, das Gerät mit eingeschaltetem Display zu fotografieren. Nach einem Druck auf den Powerbutton des Smartphones, das in etwa so groß wie ein aktuelles Galaxy Note war, leuchtete das OLED-Display aber auf. Es handelte sich also in jedem Fall um ein bereits funktionstüchtiges Modell.
Wozu nun aber die auffällige Kerbe an der Seite? Erste Renderings zum Galaxy S10 lassen vermuten, dass der südkoreanische Hersteller an dieser Stelle eine (Dual)Selfie-Kamera unterbringen wird. Eine solche Kamera war bei dem Modell das uns in die Finger geriet zwar nicht erkennbar. Es ist aber gut möglich, dass Samsung das "5G-Demo-Gerät" im Galaxy S10-Schafspelz für Testzwecke bereits einsetzt, um die Bedienoberfläche und die Software an die ungewöhnliche Notch anzupassen.
