If a new top smartphone comes onto the market, it is dismantled a few days later by the iFixit experts. The service provider’s so-called teardowns not only unearth some surprising insights into the inner workings of cell phones, but also provide information about how easy the device can be repaired. Now iFixit has that Samsung Galaxy S21 performed.
The result is surprising! Because the Galaxy S21 does better than its predecessor. The Galaxy S10 and S20+ The experts only rated it with 3 out of 10 points, the S21 still got 4 points, even though it hardly differs optically from its predecessors.
The reason for the better rating is apparently the plastic back of the Galaxy S21, which is much easier to remove than the glass back of the predecessor. Also installed Samsung now a display with flat edges, which can also be replaced more easily.
