Samsung could start a trend reversal with the Galaxy S23. The screen of the upcoming Galaxy cell phones should again have thicker edges. Not everyone likes that.
In recent years they have shrunk more and more: we are talking about the edges that surround the display of a smartphone. But Samsung is now apparently bucking this trend and is using wider edges for the Galaxy S23. At least that’s what the usually well-informed leaker IceUniverse wants to know.
According to his information, the frame will be 0.15 millimeters thicker on all four sides compared to the Galaxy S22. Overall, the cell phone should have the dimensions 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 millimeters.
IceUniverse doesn’t like this at all. He doesn’t understand why Samsung is doing this, he writes on Twitter. The Galaxy S23 will appear bulkier than its predecessor. The leaker had recently caused a stir with a verbal attack against the Galaxy Watch 5.
