The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 apparently differ not only in the form factor. A document from the Indian regulatory authority also reveals differences in the SIM cards.

- This not only indicates a high probability of an early launch in India, the entry also provides some technical details.
- While the Galaxy Z Fold 5 could support two physical SIM cards, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could only support one SIM card and one eSIM.
Samsung will probably present the new foldables Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 at a Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul at the end of July. In advance, however, more and more information is seeping into the internet. Thanks to certification from the Indian regulatory authority, we now know that a launch in India is very likely.
On the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with the model number SM-F741B the “DS” falls in the model number. However, it also applies here that the new clamshell smartphone, like its predecessor, could support a second virtual SIM card.
