Game news Game Awards 2021: Destiny 2 The Witch Queen amazes us
At the recent Game Awards, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Bungie’s next big shooter expansion, showed a promising new trailer.
All eyes have been on The Witch Queen since the announcement last August. Fans nibble on the top while waiting for the arrival, slated for February 22, 2022, a date that consists of the number 2 many times. With a game called Destiny 2, how can we not consider it a conscious choice to mark? especially l arrival of a long-awaited extension.
The witch queen, the extension of the revival?
To mark the studio’s 30th anniversary, Bungie used the Game Awards to release a new video that looks promising for fans. The footage shows a group of Guardians encountering Savathûn and his glowing brood, able to harness the powers of light. Geoff Keighley, host and producer of The Game Awards, made it clear during his presentation that everything in this trailer takes place during the expansion’s first mission. The Witch Queen also promises a number of changes in Destiny 2 over the next year, in addition to a new location, raid, and another year of seasons. It will be possible to make your own weapons and a hybrid weapon type (melee / projectile) will be introduced.

Bungie has already kicked off its 30th Anniversary Celebration with special content in Destiny 2 that gives access to free 30th Anniversary content, including a new six-player matchmaker, hidden secrets, collectable armor and rewards. It’s also possible to purchase the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack for the exotic Gjallarhorn rocket launcher, access to a new dungeon, equipment, and more. Destiny 2 fans can also watch the season of the missing, New Advent celebrating the winter season, as they await the The Witch Queen expansion in just over two months from now.
