It has long been known that the men from Behavior Interactive are working on a strategy game for the HBO hit series Game of Thrones. Now the game of Thrones: Beyond the Wall, which has since been named, finally has a specific release date – and that is already very close.
As announced, the title will initially be available for iOS gamers from March 26, 2020. Android users will have to wait a little longer for the mobile strategy game, because the title will only be available on these smartphones from April 3, 2020.
In addition to Behavior Interactive, the US broadcaster HBO is just as directly involved as Gaea. Beyond the Wall takes place 50 years before the events of the book series and the TV series. As the name suggests, the setting for the game is north of the Westeros Wall, which separates the seven kingdoms from the wildlings.
You get command of a castle with figures of the night watch and have to protect Westeros. In a playful way, the title should be based on Fire Emblem, so that you have to take control of squads with different characters on grid cards and use them strategically. The individual units have weapons with different ranges as well as other strengths and weaknesses. Some well-known faces are also supposed to be used in the game, but due to the time differences, above all, completely new characters that were only created for the game.
The action focuses on Lord Commander Brynden Rivers, who disappears north of the wall. A team of men from the night watch go on a search and try to find out exactly what has happened to their leader.
