lineup October Game Pass Games Just revealed! Published via the official blog post on the official Xbox website, you can download a wide variety of exciting (and in some cases Halloween-appropriate) games as early as this minute, including some really big hits you’ll want to download when you have them Chance.
The first game was A Plague Tale: Requiem, which you can download now on Game Pass for PC and Xbox Series X/S. We published our review of the game just yesterday, giving it a very positive review, noting that developer Asobo “should be proud of what it has accomplished with this game, as frustrating and engaging as it may be.”
If you’re looking for something with a more spooky tone – we’re in the Halloween season after all – we have both Amnesia series
it gets better, wonderful sci-fi horror title Soma (also by the Amnesia developers) is also included in Game Pass, which launches on October 20th of this month. This might be the team’s best release yet in their revival of the horror genre, with some really interesting story twists. Well worth your time.
If you’re not in the mood for spokes at that point, then Phantom Abyss, also coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC on October 20, lets you race through a series of procedurally generated temples with just one try per run. If that doesn’t sound tricky enough, other players’ attempts can be seen through the ghost, which also affects the environment and the myriad traps inside.
Just one day later, on October 21st, Person 5 Royal Launching on PC and Xbox. See, there’s no weaving around it, Persona 5 Royal is an awesome JRPG full of color, engaging characters, and a great narrative that takes you through the adventures of The Joker and Phantom Rogue.
Now, obviously all of the above titles are great, but what if you’re looking for something more independent? A bit on the niche side? Well, there will be some very exciting games on October 27th. Frog Detective: The Whole Mystery, only available on PC, have you filled the shoes of a legendary frog private dick with up to three adventures in this collection. Great for kids or those who like cute art styles.
Gunshots: Rebirth A fantastic mix of FPS action, RPG elements, and a roguelite progression system, all wrapped up in Crazy Crossfire, available on console and PC on October 27th. Play as one of six characters and work your way through a series of increasingly challenging levels and powers as you grow stronger.
In the end, this is an awesome product that you want to try and it is transmit signal! A retro-inspired sci-fi title that brings back the spirit of classic survival horror with a gorgeous pixel aesthetic. The game has been in development for a while, and as someone who’s been following it since I saw it on Twitter a while ago, my excitement is palpable. You can get it on PC and consoles on the first day of October 27th.
