The German association of the gaming industry, game, was again able to present the coveted game Sales Awards several times in September. Above all, the new FIFA 23 is right back on the road to success.
The association of the German games industry was able to award four games for sales figures achieved in Germany in September – and unsurprisingly, FIFA 23, which was only released a month ago, is also included. EA has also hit the bull’s eye with its latest installment in the series, breaking through the 500,000 sales mark in Germany in September. FIFA 23 thus receives the highest award, the game Sales Award Special Prize.
Another such special prize for half a million copies sold goes to the first-person shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard, before the next installment in the shooter series, Modern Warfare 2, is due out this fall.
There was no platinum award for 200,000 copies this month, but there were two more gold awards for 100,000 copies sold. Shortly after the actual release, the colorful shooter Splatoon 3 reached this mark on the switch. And wrestling fans also seem to be satisfied, because they have already purchased the new wrestling simulation WWE 2K22 from 2K Games to the same extent.
