Game news Gamescom 2022: Dune Awakening, the open-world survival MMO, finally unveiled
Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live got off to a flying start with several titles revealed via trailers including the awesome Dune Awakening. A title finally revealed in Frank Herbert’s universe, with an explosive open-world survival MMO genre.
It was already announced, we’ve been waiting impatiently for it: dune awakening used Geoff Keighley’s big fair at Gamescom 2022 to reveal himself. As a reminder, the universe of Dune, which began with the inception book and then brought to the cinemas with several adaptations, was adapted into a blockbuster by Denis Villeneuve, which reignited the excitement surrounding the franchise…especially since the second installment is currently in production .
The brand entrusted to Funcom, which has signed for three games, will take care of Dune Awakening. an open world MMO and survival game in the style of Conan Exiles (Funcom’s biggest hit). Information on the release date and gameplay has not yet been leaked, and we have only been able to enjoy a very nice trailer in which one of the protagonists approaches a Shai-Hulud (worm from the sand).
