Sometimes the best ideas just come along. This is proven by the current fundraising campaign in our forum. Can we organize something?
was the question sent to the moderator via direct message. A user noticed that we have some community members among us who are simply not doing well financially at the moment.
A nice idea
was the prompt response from our moderators and so the Christmas ball started rolling. After a short survey in the forum, it quickly became clear: the willingness to donate is great.
This all happened four days ago. The community has now collected over 1,000 dollars. And that doesn’t even include the many shopping vouchers. The participation is so high that not only does the moderator stand with open mouths when faced with the amount, but it also warms our hearts in the editorial team.
Thank you, dear community. That you stand up so strongly for each other and launch such actions in just a few days and make them successful.
All information about the fundraising campaign
How can I participate? First you should think about two things: Do I want to give away a digital voucher or money? Should the donation go to a specific user or should my money be distributed fairly among everyone in need?
Depending on what you decide, write a PM to the respective forum moderator to whom you send the voucher code or ask for the Paypal link. You can find all the information about this in the forum posting. Please note data protection in all cases.
Who are the needy? Long-time users from the forum who we know are not doing well financially. This way we make sure that no one takes donations that they don’t need. For obvious reasons, those in need are not named.
How long does the campaign last? Since the effort behind the campaign is gigantic, the moderator has decided to close the Christmas sack on Saturday, December 16th at 4 p.m. The gifts still have to be distributed.

By the way, our colleagues from GameTube also collected. In her Sternstunden stream, over 42,000 dollars were raised, which went to Sternstunden eV. This advocates for children in need. This is also such an incredibly fantastic number that we of course don’t want to leave it unmentioned here.
