If you also enjoy writing detailed reviews, critically analyzing products and sharing your expertise in exciting articles, then we have the perfect challenge for you!
As part of our tech editorial team, you will report daily on the topic of smartphones. You will primarily write tests, product comparisons and reviews. With your specialist knowledge and tips, you will help our readers to find the ideal mobile phone for their needs and to use it optimally.
To strengthen our team we search immediately a dedicated Tech Editor (m/f/d) for the topic of smartphones at the Munich location. Professional experience in the editorial department is an advantage, but motivated career changers are also welcome.
Your tasks include:
- Focus on product testing: You test the latest mobile phones from major manufacturers and write informative test articles
- You will work with us to design uniform test conditions, collect measurement data and benchmarks and classify them using your expertise
- You create high-quality photos for your articles, which you then enter into our content management system in an attractive design
- In addition to tests, you occasionally write exciting analyses, comparisons and experience reports – based on your expertise and experiments – and thus contribute to a diverse content mix
- You come into contact with important manufacturers and PR contacts from the tech industry

- You are passionate about the topic of smartphones: You are always up to date, have perhaps already tried out numerous mobile phones and are proactively educating yourself in this area
- You get inspiration from the internet – whether on Reddit, social media, YouTube or tech sites – to create exciting articles or incorporate the findings into your tests
- You know what moves the target group, also thanks to observations on social media and in communities
- Strong hands-on mentality: You enjoy tinkering with hardware and software and are not afraid to try things out yourself
- You are able to convey technical terms and complex topics in an understandable and entertaining way
- You are willing to research thoroughly and can classify issues using your expertise
- Excellent knowledge of Europe and good knowledge of English
- You are open to new trends and developments and enjoy learning
- Basic knowledge of SEO, image editing and/or product photography is a plus, but not a requirement
- Also an advantage, but not a requirement, are some initial experience in the video sector, e.g. you have already written texts for videos or have been in front of the camera yourself
