As part of our Tech-Editorial-Teams You report daily on cool app tips, new or hidden functions and exciting tech products that tech fans should know.
You will write news, guides, tests and columns, among other things. With your content, you will help our readers get even more out of their software and discover exciting new gadgets for everyday life.
That’s what we’re looking for from April 1st, 2023 a new Junior Editor Tech (m/f/d) or Editor Tech (m/f/d) for the subject areas of Apps & Gadgets for GameStar Tech. Ideally, you already have editorial experience, but you can also apply without any prior knowledge.
What you can look forward to:
- You research, write and edit tech articles for GameStar Tech, including news, guides, hands-on reviews, product reviews, columns and more
- You can develop creatively and thus contribute to a unique content mix
- You optimize articles for search engines (SEO) or Google Discover and enter them into our content management system in an attractive manner
- You analyze data using appropriate tools to find relevant topics and prepare articles that are suitable for the target group
- You come into contact with important manufacturers and PR contacts from the tech industry
This is what you bring with you:
- You are passionate about the topic of apps: you never miss an update changelog for the most important applications and you proactively try out new (trending) apps
- You are always curious, the urge to explore drives you to always discover new software solutions, tips or useful gadgets for everyday life
- You get inspiration and tips from the internet – whether on Reddit, social media, YouTube, TikTok or tech sites – in order to knit exciting articles from them
- Strong hands-on mentality: You like testing tech products and software, tweaking settings or comparing several apps to find the best ones
- You are able to convey technical terms and complex topics in an understandable and entertaining way
- You know what the target group is interested in, also thanks to observations on social media and in communities
- You are willing to research thoroughly and can classify issues based on your expertise
- Excellent knowledge of Europe and good knowledge of English
- You like to think outside the box and always add your own spin to your items to set yourself apart from the competition
- You are ready to report on software in an informative but also entertaining way
- You are open to new trends and developments and enjoy learning
- Basic knowledge of SEO, image editing and/or product photography is a plus, but not a requirement
- It is also advantageous, but not a prerequisite, to have initial experience in the video sector, for example you have already written texts for videos or have stood in front of the camera yourself
