Reddit user Zer0Bytes has released leaked information about a possible new event in Rainbow Six: Siege. It is the game mode "The Grand Larcency" (In German, for example: The Great Theft), which according to Leaker should be playable from May 5th to 19th.
For this there are, as usual with leaks, no official confirmation. We asked the developers what was going on. As soon as we receive an official response, we will update this article.
Meanwhile, an image on Imgur shows how an authentic in-game screen from Rainbow Six: Siege looks like exactly how the new mode should work.

Rainbow Six: Siege has a new kind of cheater
This is how the event supposedly works
Rules of the mode: Attackers must enter a building and open a number of safes before a timer expires, or defeat all defenders. The defenders must protect the safes or kill the attacking team.
Safes and floors: The safes are visible to both teams via markers. The safes can fall through floors if they are destroyed. Everyone can shoot wooden floors, the usual steel beams do not exist on the special map.
Shotguns only: All operators competing in Grand Lacency only equipped shotguns as weapons. Their damage is also increased in this mode.
Meanwhile, a specially created YouTube channel called ElaFromPoland published a full round of gameplay from Great Larcency at the end of March. Although without other players, but at least with the complete program including the opening cutscene, which supports the authenticity of the leak:
Fun fact: It can also be seen in the video that falling safes can kill the player if he is unfavorably below it. If the leak to Rainbow Six: Siege proves to be true, both defenders and attackers can use the safe tetris to their advantage.
