Gears Tactics, a turn-based strategy spin-off of the third-person shooter series, will be released on April 28, and Microsoft is apparently eager to get the game out. The preload of the PC version has already been started for Xbox Game Pass for PC, Steam and Windows 10, so you can download the game two weeks before the release.
There is also a pre-order offer: anyone who pre-orders the game or gets the Xbox Game Pass for PC by May 4th will receive the Thrashball Cole Character Pack free of charge. As the name suggests, this includes the character Augustus Cole with his individual skills in his thrashball equipment.
The turn-based strategy game is set twelve years before the events of the original Gears of War and push you into the role of Gabe Diaz, the father of Kait Diaz.
