The Coalition has so far only attracted attention with action games when it comes to Gears of War, but this will change in the coming year. For a long time, the tactical spin-off Gears Tactics was no longer heard, so that some fans are worried that the title may have been discontinued. But now there is a new trailer and a release date!
As part of The Game Awards 2019, Microsoft confirmed last night that Gears Tactics will be available for both PC and Xbox One from April 28, 2020. The title plays a decade before the events in Gears of War and sees itself as The Coalitions' approach to the genre of turn-based strategy games. So this will compete with well-known game series like XCOM.
The new game should focus on a story driven by the different characters and will play a much faster and more aggressive gameplay in terms of gameplay than the competition. You control a squad, which you can individualize, in order to cope with huge boss fights.
According to the newly released trailer, the campaign has a playing time of more than 40 hours!
