Genshin Impact Version 3.1 Live Just finished, which means we have our first official content update source, new characters, and new areas we’ll be exploring soon!

Three new characters – Candace, Cyno and Nilou
Right at the start of the stream, we received a new trailer for Update 3.1, which briefly shows what we can expect from the update, including three new characters! They are Hydro Polearm user Candace, Electro Polearm user Cyno and Hydro sword Nilou.
All three will play a major role in the updated story, and will be available through wish banners throughout version 3.1 of the game.
New Area – Sumeru Desert
As you can see in droves in the trailer, you’ll be visiting the desert in version 3.1. Comprised of the massive dunes and ruins of the Crimson King’s long-lost kingdom, you’ll have more quests and treasures waiting to be found. Plus, you’ll be fighting Fatui and Scaramush — with the gnosis of the Electric Archon — so this is sure to be a story-rich update.
Plus, we have a new world boss – Destroy Drake! Good news for those who like a challenge in an open world.
Genshin Impact 2nd Anniversary
With the release of Genshin Impact version 3.1, Genshin Impact will be hosting a 7-day login event where players can get tons of free items, including two new gadgets (one of which is a pet), 1,600 Primo gems, 10 free Wish banner roll and some brittle resin.
Version 3.1 Events
As Genshin Impact fans have come to expect, version 3.1 will bring a slew of exclusive new events for you to play / all of which offer primo gems, upgrade materials and mora. However, completing the main holiday quest set in Mondstadt will earn you a special four-star polearm that all players are desperate to get their hands on!
- autumn crisis – Hunt board with normal attack for a limited time
- strong wind trail – Summon powerful slimes and engage in challenging battles that require you to think carefully about your party composition before entering.
- Philanthropy and Creativity – Raise funds for the festival by running a store that can be customized and upgraded throughout the event.
- wind chaser – A new realm where you must adjust the wind to collect coins and navigate a labyrinth of platforms and enemies.
- Starseeker’s sojourn – Treasure hunt! You’ll get the approximate location of a special chest, and then you can hunt for sweet rewards including exclusive decorations!
- One hundred people Ikki – A free battle route where you can take on waves of challenging enemies for upgrade materials and original gems.
Genshin Impact version 3.3 card game!
You read that right – an in-game collectible card game was announced during the genshin Impact version 3.1 livestream! While we didn’t get into the depths of how it works, we did see a lot of popular characters represented in card form.
Once version 3.3 is released on December 7th, you can play it in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Animation Announcement
As if that wasn’t enough, the upcoming Genshin Impact animated series has been announced! In the collaboration between Hoyoverse and Ufotable, a “long-term project” has been announced, but no release date has been set.
