Earlier today, a live broadcast showed Genshin Impact waypoint erected in the Alps Live on the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel. The livestream was accompanied by a live performance of several songs from the Dragonspine region in the game, performed by the game’s lead composer along with other live musicians (we can only assume they were paid for with Primo gems).
However, the creek did disappear from musical performances a few times. There’s a shot of Genshin character Klee climbing Dragon’s Back Mountain and running past waypoints to fit the theme. An Arataki Itto cosplayer also showed up for some reason, and was seen skiing away in a way that was a frankly hilarious departure from anyone’s expectations.
The event follows 1 million players participating in December’s “A Fascinating Journey to Snow and Stars” web event. In this event, players must write good wishes on their commemorative cards.
Doing so has the chance to earn some useful in-game rewards, such as Mora and Primo gems, after a certain number of players participate. From these souvenir packs, we’ve picked out a few lucky winners to showcase during the event’s live stream.
Some of the wishes seen include sincere wishes for the New Year, while others are your hopes for five-star Genshin Impact characters who have previously eluded all of us. It won’t hurt your chances, right?
After showing footage of Alpine Waypoints, we also received a final live performance of the Dragon’s Back music – this time with a full chorus to provide some vocals.
Despite the lack of a Primo gem giveaway or new arrivals, the livestream was a wholesome celebration and a really nice watch…hey, I wonder how long they’ve been away from that waypoint? Are you still on? Let us know if you are in the Alps!
