Genshin Impact received its first character hailing from Inazuma called Kaedehara Kazuha who got his own banner on June 29th. Players wish for the five-star character along with four-star update rate characters on the Leaves in the Wind limited-time banner.
As for what we could be hearing about in the next live stream are further new characters/releases, and there is a rumour that the developer may introduce cross save between current platforms as well as Switch in future. So far there has been no new info about the Switch platform, but there could be issues with the capabilities of the Switch but nothing has been confirmed.
The update next update is 1.7, but rumours have popped up saying that we could be seeing more about Version 2.0. The Genshin Impact anniversary will be this September, which would lineup with 2.0 being a big update, adding Inazuma opening a new region to explore.
However recent patches have been rather decent with adding the Midsummer Island Adventure in 1.6, as well as previously adding player housing which has given more to do in between artifact grinding.
The tweet doesn’t give much away but simply calls it a “New Version Special Program Announcement” and the image of an Archon statue, which could be hinting new Electro archon powers for the Main Character as the background is purple.
