Fresh food for PS5 owners: The free-to-play hit Genshin Impact now has a release date on Sony’s new console.
Anyone who has followed the update rhythm of miHoYos Genshin Impact has already figured out when the 1.5 update for the free-to-play title would appear. With the new content, the release of the PlayStation 5 version, which was previously only scheduled for spring 2021, was suspected. So today’s official announcement that Genshin Impact will hit the PS5 on April 28th is not surprising.
With native 4K resolution, improved textures and shorter loading times, the next-gen version should take full advantage of the console. However, nothing is currently known about other new features.
Update 1.5 introduces two new playable characters, Eula and Yanfei, among other things. The five-star character Eula is a Spindrift Knight and has cryogenic powers. Yanfei, on the other hand, is a four-star character, half human, half beast. In addition, another main area in Teyvat is indicated, Inazuma.
