Since the introduction of the Ghost of Tsushima gameplay, we have continued to receive information on some technical aspects of the game such as duration or accuracy in combat. Currently the video game industry struggles to find the perfect duration for each genre, without it being too long or short. However, the latest statements from Sucker Punch point to Ghost of Tsushima’s open world won’t suffer from that problem
Nate Fox, the company’s creative director, had an interview with the Brazilian medium Voxel, where he talked about how long it would take players to complete the game 100%. To which he replied inaccurately, since, measuring it is difficult given the number of optional activities the experience offers. It seems to be that during the tests of the game, some users did not finish the story because they were caught in the exploration offered by the title.
Testing with different players indicated to the study that before the end of the main story, which would take less time than 40 hours, lPlayers would be encouraged to explore Tsushima in depth. The creative: “I highly recommend that everyone leave the main route and get lost on Tsushima Island, as there is much to discover there.”
