Ghostrunner, the cyberpunk action game that goes on sale on October 27 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One for $29.99, also have versions for the new generation in 2021, as announced by the publishers All In! Games and 505 Games and developers One More Level, 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks. There will be a free update for current console users that allow the PS5 version to be downloaded to PS4 buyers and the Xbox Series X / S version to Xbox One players.
The title is described as an intense fast-paced action game “with a first-person perspective and set in a cyberpunk megastructure. Climb the Dharma Tower, humanity’s last refuge after a devastating cataclysm. You will have to reach the top and face the housekeeper, a tyrant, to avenge you once and for all. ” Although the most important thing is the gameplay with fast movements, its creators also highlight a history full of elements of this type of science fiction: power, corruption and crazy technologies, a fusion between ultraviolence and instant deaths of Hotline Miami with the fluidity of actions of Dishonored.
Our impressions
After playing it, in our impressions we tell you that “we started our game with Ghostrunner without any expectations, thinking that we would be facing one more action game and, nevertheless, his proposal has cut off our ‘brain player’ from the first moment just as a well-sharpened katana would do with meat. Of course we want to try more, much more of this particular title to discover if that katana continues to be just as effective over the hours or if it ends up denting after making several cuts. What we can say after testing it with complete confidence is that has left us with very high expectations and that can become one of the surprises of the year“.
