Ghostwire: Tokyo is now available for purchase on Xbox Series X/S, and if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can try the Tango Gameworks ghoulish title for free. Additionally, the game is also playable through PlayStation Plus, and a new Spider’s Thread update is now available for the game.
Ghostwire’s Spider’s Thread update: Tokyo adds some brand new rogue-lite modes to the game’s base campaign. In the main campaign, players can expect new enemies, new skills, new areas to explore, new side quests, an extended story movie, photo mode enhancements, and more (from Bethesda).
The new game mode arriving as part of the update is a 30-stage challenge to choose from over 120 levels. Your only job here is to stay the course. As you progress, you’ll unlock new abilities and in-game currency to spend however you want.
As for new discoveries that will take place in Tokyo, you’ll meet Sanguine Dancer, Silent Gaze, Retribution, and more. To combat them, Akito will gain new abilities such as Counter Attack and Charge Rush. There’s also a new middle school district to expl ore, plagued by rumors of missing students; something is prowling the school hallways, and Akito and KK need to sort out this strange phenomenon.
Players can also discover more, as 25 photos have a disturbing aura. Once again, Akito and KK need to find where these photos were taken and use their detective skills (via PlayStation.blog) to clear the area.
Are you checking out Ghostwire: Tokyo for a new update, or are you thinking of joining for the first time? let us know! I’ve been thinking about trying this for a while, and I think it’s finally here.
