Speedrunning: Probably the best sport to amaze normal players. Anyone who knows The Gauntlet obstacle course in Titanfall 2 knows how difficult it is at the beginning to unwind all of the game’s movement functions. And still be quick!
Now an old record has been broken in Titanfall 2 – twice! We’ll show you the darn fast runs and the new (old) world record holder.
(Not) a change at the top
Wall running, jumping, hitting all targets on the side: The best speed runners know how to do this efficiently in order to race through the Gauntlet in record time. Instead of moving orthodoxly, they sometimes use the explosive power of grenades to accelerate.
Since 2019, Speedrunner “Cash Mayo” has held the record for the fastest gauntlet. In just one time 11.7 seconds he completed the course. This run is meant:

Yep, that was fast! But the limit of what was feasible had not yet been reached. What was considered unbeatable for a long time was recently discontinued by the runner “WhateverShoe”. And loosely … measured in speedrunner dimensions.
This run just lasted 11.2 seconds and outbid the previous record holder by half a second:

That in turn called the previous champion Cash Mayo on the scene, who did not want to be stolen from the title so easily. And so he stepped up and completed the Gauntlet course in 11.1 seconds. The joy of the new record becomes clear when Cash Mayo fidgets a little with joy at the end. You can see the video here:

This puts 1st place in the worldwide ranking back to Cash Mayo, while WhateverShoe takes second place. Incidentally, the Europe speedrunner »Zweek«, who rode the Gauntlet in a time of 11.9 seconds completed:
